Visit Stockholm

Stockholm is known as the capital of Scandinavia, and is situated where Lake Mälaren meets the open sea. It’s often said that Stockholm is a cosmopolitan city, but where you'll find a small town charm around the corner. Stockholm is one of the world's most beautiful cities built on 14 islands surrounded by water so clean that you can swim in the city center. Here you are never far from the green parks and green areas which constitute about 40 percent of the surface. The Old Town is one of, Stockholm's most popular locations. The district has a rich history and has earned everything from a place of execution – to royal weddings. To walk through its streets is like a journey through time. Stockholm archipelago is also something that you must discover when visiting the city. The archipelago consists of a unique water landscapes in the Baltic Sea with over 30 000 islands of significance. Stockholm is full of restaurants, pubs and nightclubs and for those who are looking for good food and entertainment there are lots of places to visit. Stockholm has over 70 museums that are visited by more than 9 million people every year. The most popular include, Skansen, the Vasa Museum on the southern island of Djurgården, the National Museum, Natural History, Sjöhistoriska and the Museum of Technology with millions of visitors.

Here are some other great places to visit, such as the Royal Palace, for those who want to have some fun, Gröna Lund amusement park - or for those who prefer to take it easy, they can choose to simply stroll quietly around the heights of Södermalm.

Forces' stronghold, where Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt reigns, is beautifully situated in the central parts of Stockholm. For those who instead are out for some shopping, there are several large malls to choose from. Why not a visit to NK, Galleria or Pub.
